Disability Arts and Culture
Go to this wheelchair dancer blog spot for great reporting on an array of disability ideas, experiences and, most of all, dance!  The site has many links to integrated dance companies.  

BODIES OF WORK: The Chicago Festival of Disability Arts & Culture April 20-30, 2006
            The entire city of Chicago was the site of this ground-breaking ten day festival last April.  Museums, auditoriums, theatres large and small, cafes and more.  A willing and engaged cultural community put their heads together for this one.  I went to everything I could in the 3 days I was in town (and did a reading at the resolutely independent bookstore Women and Children First).  Take a look at the site for the Cultural Festival to note the range of programs and exhibits, the kinds of sponsorship, and tell YOUR home town cultural scions - if Chicago can do this...

The Non-Traditional Casting Project  
Their mission is to serve as an expert advocate and educational resource for full inclusion in theatre, film, television and related media. Their current focus is to increase the participation of artists of color and artists with disabilities in the industry.
